Woke up this am to the sun shining and the temperature on my phone saying 29 degrees. Fall has arrived, the crispy air is telling me its time to pull out the sweaters and fuzzy warm socks.
Coffee hits a bit different this morning, hot caffeine in my favorite cup. Watching the leaves blow by my window from the living room thinking to myself is this what retirement looks like?
Sitting on the couch with my furbabies laying in the sun, drinking coffee, and listening to the tv with a play by play of college football. Life is not that bad. I am pretty darn grateful today for being right where I am. The stress of life has not creeped in this morning, I’m keeping it at bay by enjoying the simplest moments.
I have 15ish years left until I can retire, I am currently in the midst of a career change. I was let go from my last job due to regime change and now I’m in the middle of a nightmare trying to find a new job.
However, today is Saturday ~ College football is on the TV, my bills are paid, my family is healthy, and my cup of caffeine is full. I will tackle unemployment problems on Monday. Today I’m going to enjoy the day Fall has presented me with some warm fuzzy socks and my college sweatshirt. Go OREGON DUCKS (OOOOOO)!
How do you enjoy a sunny Fall day? Do you enjoy the simple moments of watching the leaves fall, the way the clouds drift by, or do you stress about life and miss out on the simple things? Life is full of choices and only you know what’s best for you in that moment. Give yourself Grace~ enjoy the small things.
